A Fish with a Surprise

Then Blu spotted a small bright-yellow fish gliding over the sandy bottom.

Something about its shape looked familiar, but the colour fooled him at first.

Blu looked again. This little yellow fish was a juvenile Blue Tang — a young member of the very same species as Blu!

Young Blue Tangs can begin life bright yellow. As they grow, their colour gradually changes until they become the deep blue adults Blu knows so well.

“Wait a minute... you’re a Blue Tang too!” Blu exclaimed. “You’re one of my little relatives!”
