Beneath the Ledge

Blu peeked beneath a rocky ledge.

The bright reef above disappeared, replaced by shadows, sponges, and little pockets of sand.

A few small fish rested inside the shelter. Then a pair of impossibly long legs stepped into view.

An arrow crab stood quietly above the yellow sponge, as if it had been waiting there all along.

Blu whispered . .
“The reef has rooms beneath its rooms."
