Adventure Fourteen - Page Six
A Graceful Goodbye
At last, the eagle ray turned toward the open blue and began to glide away.
Blu did not chase after it. He stayed where he was and watched the great spotted wings rise and fall more slowly as the ray disappeared into the distance.
Because Blu had given the ray space, he had seen it search the sand, lift into the water, glide freely, and even show him the pale underside of its body.
Sometimes the most amazing ocean encounters happen when we simply watch and let wild animals be wild.
Blu’s Reef Tip — Let Creatures Choose the Distance!
Spotted eagle rays are powerful, graceful wild animals. Never chase, touch, block, or crowd one. Stay calm, keep a respectful distance, and let the ray decide where it wants to swim. Patient watching gives you the best chance to see natural behavior — and keeps the encounter safe for everyone.
