The First Secret

Blu stopped beside a giant orange sponge.

Its folds looked empty at first—just shadows, wrinkles, and quiet hiding places.

Then a tiny flash of yellow and black appeared deep inside.

A young French angelfish was tucked safely between the sponge’s soft walls, watching the reef from its secret doorway.

“There you are,” Blu whispered. “Our first secret was hiding in plain sight.”
