Rising Into the Blue

With one strong sweep of its broad fins, the eagle ray lifted from the sandy bottom.

Blu watched as the ray quietly rose in the water, without stirring the sea.

Those wide fins were not wings at all, but powerful pectoral fins that helped the ray glide, turn, and climb through the ocean.

Blu stayed where he was and let the eagle ray choose its own path.
