A Field of Stars

Beyond the reef, the sand formed a blue plain.

One sea star rested in the ripples. Then Blu noticed another... and another... until the seafloor seemed filled with stars.

He thought about the tiny angelfish, the cleaner shrimp, the arrow crabs, the hidden scorpionfish, and the neighbours beneath the ledge.

The reef had shared its secrets because Blu had slowed down long enough to notice them.

The reef always has another story to tell... Where will Blu swim on his next adventure?

Blu’s Reef Fact: Sea stars move across the seafloor using hundreds of tiny tube feet beneath their bodies. They may seem still, but they are slowly travelling, feeding, and exploring their underwater home.
